The typical manicured fairways at Grandview Golf Course, 14260 W. Meeker Blvd., are in a reconstruction phase in Sun City West.
Last month the golf course closed to begin work for the irrigation and turf removal project. Forty additional workers were brought in by the outside companies to keep up with the time frame of work.
From hole 17 working back to hole 13, the main line is placed underground with the 2-inch lateral pipe that runs to all the sprinkler heads, according to Todd Patty, Recreation Centers of Sun City West environmental services manager.
