In nine months, the second phase of the Grandview irrigation project will begin.
Phase one was completed with the installation of the new pump station. Todd Patty, Recreation Centers of Sun City West environmental services manager, said this month the areas that will become desert landscape will be sprayed. Two applications are necessary, with one planned in September and another in October. Ron Capriotti, 103.1 KSCW Rec Center Show host, asked on the Aug. 31 show if during the spraying process residents will get a better visual of the area.
“The residents that live around the golf course and members that play will have a good look of where the desert landscape will be when going around and playing. With no disruption to play whatsoever,” Patty said.
