Grandson of labor leader, others speak at Chandler service event

Sunday would have been César Chávez’s 97th birthday

Andrés Chávez, the grandson of César Chávez and executive director of the National Chávez Center, was one of several advocates for migrant farm workers who spoke at a March 30 event.

Speaking the day before what would have been his grandfather’s 97th birthday, Chávez had already seen the spirit of Cesar in action.
