Grand turns onto 163rd reduced for roadwork in Surprise

Work to continue through March 11

The dual right-turn lanes from Grand Avenue onto 163rd Avenue will be temporarily reduced to a single turn lane beginning Feb. 26 as crews work to widen northbound 163rd Avenue.

Timing of the turn-lane reductions are as follows: Feb. 26 to March 11: Closure of the outer most right-turn lane from Grand to 163rd avenues.

One of the dual right-turn lanes will remain open at all times, and the new green right-turn arrow will remain activated, allowing for quicker clearing of the turn bay.

This temporary right-turn lane reduction will help expedite construction of a second northbound lane on 163rd Avenue from Grand Avenue to Pat Tillman Boulevard, which is part of the 163rd Avenue Road Improvement Project.
