Grand jury indicts man in Tempe-related fentanyl case

A state grand jury has indicted Jesus Januario Sandoval Leyva on multiple charges stemming from a fentanyl seizure, authorities said.

Sandoval Leyva was arrested Oct. 10 by the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, the Tempe Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Approximately 150,000 fentanyl pills were seized by law enforcement during the arrest, according to a release from Attorney General Kris Mayes.

A state grand jury has indicted Jesus Januario Sandoval Leyva on multiple charges stemming from a fentanyl seizure, authorities said.

Sandoval Leyva was arrested Oct. 10 by the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, the Tempe Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Approximately 150,000 fentanyl pills were seized by law enforcement during the arrest, according to a release from Attorney General Kris Mayes.
 
The indictment charges Sandoval Leyva with three felony counts: conspiracy, illegally conducting an enterprise and possession of a narcotic drug for sale, the release stated.
