Phoenix Public Library signed up more than 5,000 people for library cards partnering with the Grammy-award winning singer Laufey.
The partnership connected both with the Icelandic jazz-inspired pop singer’s trip to the Valley to perform at Glendale’s Desert Diamond Arena on Sept. 23 and with singer’s “A Very Laufey Day” on Aug. 24.
“This day is meant to inspire her fans to follow an itinerary of Laufey’s favorite activities,” Phoenix Public Library Community Relations Manager Lee Franklin told a Phoenix subcommittee earlier this month.
