Grammy award-winning pianist, producer and songwriter Robert Glasper will perform in April at Mesa Arts Center.
The show starts at 7:30 p.m. April 19 at MAC's Ikeda Theater, 1 E. Main St. Get tickets, which cost $35-$75, at mesaartscenter.com or by calling the box office during regular business hours at 480-644-6500.
Glasper bridges musical and artistic genres. He has four Grammy wins and nine nominations across 11 categories and an Emmy Award for his song for the documentary “13th” with Common and Karriem Riggins.
His breakout crossover album “Black Radio” won him the Grammy for best R&B album and established him as the musician of choice for some of the world’s most iconic artists; and notably playing keys throughout Kendrick Lamar’s “To Pimp A Butterfly,” winning another Grammy for the elastic track “These Walls,” the release states.
