Grace Marie Edgley, Loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, passed in peace on July 21, 2017 at the age of 95 in Surprise, Arizona. Grace was born in Buffalo, New York on December 31, 1921 to Edward and Anna (Nesselback) Glose. Grace married her husband William Edgley on May 12, 1945 after they first met in the coatroom of Pillsbury where they both worked. They settled in Edina, Minnesota where they raised their only son, William Edward Edgley, and retired to Arizona and they enjoyed friends, family and lots of travel throughout their golden years. Grace was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother "Gigi". Grace loved any chance to spend time with family - even traveling to Ghana, Africa to visit her son and family. She remained active in her Church throughout her life, she loved going to Briarwood Country Club for dinner, traveling, puzzle making, her sweets, Jazzercise, her slot machines and performing in the Variety show at the Sun Dome. She only knew how to make one meal - meat in the oven and ambrosia salad, which her son loved to eat. She loved being a grandmother and great grandmother - seeing her grandchildren and great grandchildren always brought a smile to her face. Grace was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, her husband of 61 years William Edgley, and her loving son, William Edward Edgley. She is survived by daughter-in-law, Pam Edgley; granddaughters Andrea Hegarty (and husband Randall) and Erin Rau (and husband John); and great grandchildren Jackson and Annabelle Hegarty and William, Jacob and Sean Rau. Grace was also very special the staff and friends at Moonlight Manor, who were like family to her. Grace truly believed she was blessed everyday of her life. She will be fondly remembered for her faith, her kindness, her ability to "pitch an inch," her "opportunity corners," and her most wonderful "smackers." She will be missed by all those who knew her; but those who knew her best should take solace in the fact that she is now with her "Bills." There will be a Catholic Mass held in her honor in Northern California, where she will be laid to rest alongside her husband and son. Please join Grace's family in sharing memories, pictures or videos on her tribute wall at www.caminodelsol.com.
