Governor’s announced special housing funding covers 1 Chandler project

Arizona Gov. Katie Hobbs recently announced $89 million for “new affordable housing and homeless response.”

One Chandler housing project, the 157-unit Villas on McQueen, is getting $4 million from that fund.

Chandler spokesperson Stephanie Romero said the city’s Neighborhood Resources staff confirmed that Villas on McQueen is the only project or service in the city that’s mentioned on the list.
