Governor rescinds executive orders – here’s what that means in Scottsdale
Although Gov. Doug Ducey rescinded previous COVID-19 safety precaution orders, the city of Scottsdale says face coverings will still be required within municipal buildings.
Gov. Ducey issued a March 25 executive order which discontinued previous orders.
The governor’s order also preempts the county-wide face covering order, and Scottsdale’s local face covering requirement. Businesses and establishments can put their own rules into place and refuse service to customers who do not follow them, officials say.

Ortega. “While we have seen encouraging progress, and more and more people have received the vaccine, COVID remains a concern. We will continue to exercise caution.
