Gosar to face newcomer Sterbinsky in CD9 general election

General election to feature incumbent against veteran

U.S. Rep. Paul Gosar will be taking on a new opponent in the general election.

In a race that has been determined for months, the incumbent Republican will battle Democrat Danielle “Dani” Sterbinsky in November’s general election after both candidates easily had leads in uncontested primary races.

Gosar, who is seeking his ninth term in Congress despite reports of poor health, earned 67,577 votes in unofficial results that the Arizona Secretary of State released late Tuesday night.
