Arizona Election 2026

GOP governor debate showcases 4 men who want change in Arizona

Representatives Andy Biggs and David Schweikert joined businessmen Scott Neely and Ken Miceli Wednesday night to discuss their candidacy for Arizona governor and the important issues to voters.

They answered questions June 17 from moderators chosen in a partnership with the Clean Elections Commission and the Arizona Media Association to provide voters with insight into the candidates’ stances on issues affecting education in the state.

The four all agreed on some issues, like expanding the Empowerment Scholarship Account, better known as ESA vouchers for trade schools, and putting more money into the program as a whole. They also agreed that the state needs to act quickly on the Colorado River decisions, as data centers surrounding states could take advantage of the supply before an agreement is reached.
