Goodyear's second Chick-fil-A location revealed

Posted

Chick-fil-A is set to open a second location in Goodyear.

Both the city and the Chick-fil-A marketing team confirmed Tuesday the fast-food chain will open the location around October.

The restaurant will be by the Walmart near Interstate 10 and North Estrella Parkway. The famous franchise brand is known for its excellent customer service and for being closed on Sundays.

The private company was started by  S. Truett Cathy, a devout southern Baptist, who instilled Christian hospitality into the brand.

According to its website, the company's purpose is to "Glorify God by being a faithful steward of all that is entrusted to us. To have a positive influence on all who come in contact with Chick-fil-A."

Chick-fil-A will donate $25,000 to Feeding America on behalf of the location, which will be directed to local Phoenix food banks to aid in the fight against hunger.

The company is also opening five other locations listed below:

  • Phoenix’s Norterra Neighborhood, slated to open this summer
  • Surprise, slated to open this summer
  • Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport in Terminal Four, slated to open this summer
  • Gilbert, slated to open this fall
  • Downtown Phoenix, slated to open this fall

The Goodyear restaurant will join 37 other Chick-fil-A locations serving the greater Phoenix market.
