Goodyear will consider extending distances in development notification

Goodyear City Council is considering adding distance to the area required to inform nearby property owners of a proposed development in a neighborhood.

Goodyear’s city ordinance requires the city to publish a notice of public hearing “in a newspaper of general circulation in the City; and provided by first class mail to all property owners within five hundred (500) feet of the subject properties.”

Mayor Joe Pizzillo said in a council session Monday he would like to see that distance increase.
