Goodyear votes to increase lump-sum payment for staff

City of Goodyear employees who have reached the top of their pay range are now eligible to receive greater lump sum pay increases, following a city council vote on Monday.

The increase, approved Sept. 27, is applicable for “non-sworn” city employees and will be applied retroactively.

The move will cost $290,123 for the 50% lump sum increase, which is $125,219 more than if the city kept the lump sum payments as is.
