Goodyear to apply for funding on two projects

The Goodyear City Council approved a measure that would help an elementary school improve its security.

The council gave the go ahead to apply for a $120,000 Gila River Indian Community grant that would pay for the construction and installation of security fencing around the perimeter of Mobile Elementary School, 42798 S. 99th Ave.

The measure passed 5-1.
