In Dion Gordon’s music class at Valor Preparatory Academy, you’ll find something very different than the typical offerings available to middle and high school students.
Instead of sheet music and traditional instruments, you’ll find students on laptops, experimenting with different beats arranged in a digital sound-mixing program.
Each week for about 10 weeks, the students in Gordon’s Digital Music Studio course spend an hour playing with different sounds, layering elements on top of each other to create their own distinct musical arrangements.
