Goodyear residents contradict airport manager’s noise, safety claims

Several residents brought various messages they sent through city

Goodyear residents Monday pushed back against claims the city of Phoenix made about the noise concerns residents have about the jointly managed airport, amid frustrations surrounding a lack of noise reduction and safety procedures.

According to Goodyear resident and pilot Bryan McCarty, he and his fellow north Goodyear residents have detailed unsafe flight practices from students at United Aviate Academy that haven’t been addressed.

During a council meeting Monday, Bryan McCarty re-addressed the city council about his concerns surrounding the claims Jordan Feld, deputy director of aviation for the city Phoenix, made during a work session Oct. 25.
