Goodyear residents concerned about aircraft altitude, lead gas pollution

October EPA guidance suggests pollutants from leaded gas are a public health and environmental crisis for children

Goodyear resident complaints about an airport flight school continued during the Nov. 13 regular council session, with altitude and lead gas pollution as primary legal concerns after EPA guidance was published in October.

The city of Goodyear does not manage or own the airport in Goodyear. The city of Phoenix manages the airport. In weeks previous, residents have aired grievances about low flight paths and noise allegedly emanating from student pilots at the nearby flight school, United Aviate Academy.

Last week, on Nov. 13, those complaints continued.
