Goodyear looks into Ballpark Village, future development

Goodyear officials are looking for at potentially reviving development projects — including retail and housing — around the city’s spring training ballpark.

But those plans may have to wait years, based on a study that says there isn’t enough housing in the area to support more retail development.

The Goodyear Planning and Zoning Commission sat down to hear a presentation by Christopher Baker, the city’s development services director, on growth in and around the Goodyear Ballpark Village.
