Goodyear proceeds with non-DUI charges for driver who killed bicyclists

The city of Goodyear formally submitted non-DUI related charges to its city prosecutor Monday, pertaining to a February Cotton Lane crash that killed two and injured 17.

In February, a pickup driver plowed through a West Valley Cycle bicycle meetup on a Cotton Lane bridge in Goodyear. In a white pickup truck, the driver killed two and injured 17.

In November, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office informed the public that it will not proceed with a felony prosecution in the case.
