The city of Goodyear will host its 5th Annual Juneteenth Family Day on Friday, June 19, bringing a celebration of African American history, culture, and resilience to a brand-new location.
This year’s event will take place from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Goodyear High School, 17300 W. Van Buren Street, moving from its previous location at the Goodyear Recreation Campus.
The celebration adopts the theme "Homecoming," designed to capture the traditions, culture, and high-energy experiences of a Historically Black Colleges and Universities homecoming.
