After serving a search warrant on his Phoenix address, Goodyear police on Thursday arrested 20-year-old Anthony Perry Michael Cornejo.
Police said the motive for the crime appears to be drug-related. Court records show Mr. Cornejo told police he drove the vehicle used to flee the scene. One of the suspects reportedly sustained a gunshot wound and was taken to a hospital, where he told Phoenix police he was shot near 55th Avenue. However, police did not find evidence of shooting there. The unidentified male was found to have items related to the shooting (bandana, gloves) in his possession at the hospital, according to documents.Read more on this story in the Daily News-Sun April 21 edition.
