Goodyear planning commission approves rezone of 36 acres for industrial use

Request must now be approved by city council

Goodyear’s Planning and Zoning Commission has voted to approve two separate rezoning requests near the south side of Camelback Road west of Cotton Lane for light industrial use.

The two separate sites make up a combined 36 acres and were rezoned from planned area development and commercial uses.

In the mid-2000s, Goodyear City Council amended the area's agricultural zoning to allow for a development known as the Camelback 303 Commerce Park, a project that was eventually abandoned.
