Goodyear City Council discussed a proposed widening of Camelback Road during a work session Monday as the city of Glendale backs down from a proposed expansion partnership.
According to Goodyear officials, the project would see a widening of Camelback by four lanes between 152nd Avenue and Loop 303, up from its current two.
The finalized project would see two lanes in each direction and a center median split for a left turn lane. The turn lane would be paved, to allow for future expansion and as the need arises.
