Goodyear lobbies residents to pressure Gov. Hobbs to veto 'tiny home' bill

The city of Goodyear is lobbying residents to urge Gov. Katie Hobbs to veto a housing bill that may bring tiny homes to the city.

The bill, House Bill 2570 “planning; home design; restrictions; prohibition,” prohibits cities from enforcing a code ordinance or regulation that establishes minimum or maximum lot sizes, dwelling square footages or aesthetic elements for single-family homes. The bill passed the Legislature and is on the Governor's desk, to be signed or vetoed within the next five days.

Goodyear sent out emails to residents on how they could inform Hobbs about their opposition.
