Goodyear commissioners recommend council approve BoSa Donuts permit, general plan amendment

If the Goodyear City Council approves a recommendation by the Planning and Zoning Commission, BoSa Donuts will be one step closer to opening in Goodyear’s Parkway Village shopping center.

Commissioners voted 5-1 on Dec. 2 to send Archicon Architecture & Interiors LLC’s request for a use permit to build a 3,236-square-foot drive-thru and retail building at 15633 W. Roosevelt St. in the Parkway Village shopping center to the council for final approval. Chairman Patrick Bray and Commissioners Randy Barnes, Gregg Clymer, Brian Ellison and Walter Steiner voted in favor; Commissioner Kathleen Molony voted against. Commissioner Jason Kish was absent.

The council is scheduled to consider the recommendation when it meets in regular session Monday, Dec. 14; however, the vote could be delayed until January while the representatives for the applicant and the Parkway Village Lot Owners Association address business owners’ concerns over traffic generated by the drive-thru.
