A Goodyear city council member asked the state to look into allegations of questionable billing practices by Liberty Utilities, a water company serving northern parts of Goodyear.
The letter to the state comes after the Arizona Corporation Commission opened an investigation into Liberty Utilities and its low water pressure output for residents in Litchfield Park and the Goodyear area on Aug. 22.
The commission, responsible for regulating public utility companies, sent an inquiry letter to Liberty Utilities about that pressure. Mounting complaints in the docket also highlights questions about their billing procedures.
