Goodyear and Litchfield districts too close to call, Liberty fails

Liberty Elementary District's bond was trailing in votes on Tuesday, with neighboring districts Agua Fria and Litchfield Elementary mired in races too close to call.

Liberty Elementary saw its bond measure fail, despite a conservative majority in the board and bipartisan support in the region.

With a 23% voter turnout, 57% voted no to the bond in initial returns. The vote mirrored those results in other surburban and exurban markets that saw many bonds and overrides seemingly heading to defeat.
