Goodyear aircraft noise group addresses Phoenix City Council

A Goodyear-based aircraft noise group addressed the Phoenix city council Wednesday about noise and safety concerns surrounding nearby aviation at Phoenix Goodyear Airport.

Goodyear resident Bryan McCarty and members of Quiet Skies Goodyear group told the Phoenix council that “a large flight school” could be practicing unregulated low-flying, which may be creating noise issues in the area.

“Why would you want to live in a neighborhood where low-flying aircraft fly over your rooftops 18 hours a day, seven days a week?” he asked. “The noise is unbearable.”
