Goodwill of Central & Northern Arizona is opening a new store in Mesa this Friday, Jan. 5. The store is at 2844 E. Main St., on the corner of Main and Lindsay Road.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 8:20 a.m., and the first 150 people in line outside of the store will receive a $5 gift card for use while shopping at the new location, according to a release.

If guests bring a full bag of donations during regular hours of the grand opening weekend, they will also receive a $5 off coupon. Terms and conditions for coupon use can be found at the bottom of the coupon.

“We continue to grow throughout Arizona and are excited to expand our impact in the community with a 13th store in Mesa,” Adam Lewis, chief retail officer of GCNA, said in the release. “We encourage the community to come out, enjoy free coffee and donuts, and help us celebrate this milestone.”

The new store spans more than 20,000 square feet, and thousands of new items are placed on Goodwill’s sales floor daily. From designer clothing and shoes to furniture and collectibles, GCNA offers unique secondhand items for less. Revenue generated from Goodwill’s retail stores helps to support its mission services including no-cost career development, training, and education resources such as MyCareerAdvisor.com
