Arizona goods costs lower, but travel costs still high

Arizonans are seeing some moderation when it comes to inflation.

Service costs are up while the prices of goods and costs for energy are down, according to Charlie Dougherty, an economist with Wells Fargo.

Pent-up demand is a component that’s keeping travel prices elevated coupled with consumers having to pay a higher price at hotels, food costs and supplies — hotel expenses which are passed on to the consumer, he said.
