A new type of education is rolling out on the golf courses in Sun City West.
The Recreation Centers of Sun City West golf operations department and the U.S. Golf Association will beimplementing the “Best Tees” initiative this summer.
This association has studied distance in relation to the golfer’s experience for several years. According to a press release from Recreation Centers of Sun City West officials, although industry professionals agree golfers would have a better experience playing tees that match their ability, most golfers do not. This was confirmed by surveying golfers and through USGA research. Per the release, when golfers play the best tees, the pace of play and satisfaction improves.
