Jack Layman grew up in a golf family, and this week the 17-year-old Surprise resident get to play at one of the sport’s most memorable courses for the first time.
He is one of four golfers — the others being Isabelle Junio, Caden Clark and Lena Duretter — chosen by First Tee — Phoenix to play in the 2022 PURE Insurance Championship Impacting First Tee.
The Layman family flew up on Monday, Sept. 19 and is preparing for the tournament, which is Sept. 23-25 at Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill Golf Course.
