Talk to anybody these days, and they will tell you the same thing — that our world has taken “a turn for the worse.” I wish, and I think you do, too, that life for all of us would have fewer conflicts, more appreciation and many more people working together. Here are my thoughts:
A Turn for the Better!
I wish that “compassion” could stay within reach.
I wish the words “thank you” were more in our speech.
I wish that “connection” ran deep to our core.
I wish, really wish, and wish more and more
That “kindness,” real “kindness” ruled high above “war.”
I wish that sheer “gratitude” came back in our view.
I wish that more people had “love” as they grew.
I wish that the “tech stuff” would slow down its pace.
I wish, really wish, and wish with real grace
That “time,” precious “time time” was more “face-to-face.”
I think, and I think you do too, that thankfulness is a must for this Thanksgiving, but let’s not let it be the end goal. If we are lucky enough to be at a Thanksgiving gathering this year with family and friends, what do you think about giving attention to getting back some of what we have lost?
Can you go through the list above at your table this year and use it in any way you wish? There is nothing more gratifying than taking care of ourselves, family, friends, community and more. Enjoy Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) in all the ways you want and use it in any helpful endeavors you choose. However, always remember you have Real Intelligence (R.I.) and Emotional Intelligence (E.I.).
Remember this saying? “One good turn deserves another.” Lots of good ones sound like a plan for getting “back on track.” Happy Thanksgiving!
