Gold Canyon residents reject state land plans

In recent weeks, many Gold Canyon residents were in distress over plans to sell 11,700 acres of Arizona state trust land east and adjacent to the unincorporated Pinal County area.

Arizona’s State Land Commissioner Lisa A. Atkins withdrew a comprehensive plan amendment application in an Aug. 3 letter to Pinal County Manager Leo Lew.
