Going back to school amid rising metrics concerns some Peoria Unified families

Isaiah Sepulveda has siblings as well as family and friends who work in the Peoria Unified School District. He has serious concerns about rising COVID-19 cases, and given the current metrics, supports students going back to virtual learning.

So he was surprised to learn the PUSD governing board recently voted not to return to full virtual learning when students return to class after winter break.

Mr. Sepulveda said he believes the board is caving to the demands of outspoken parents rather than thinking about what is safest and smartest for the common good.
