Glenn Allen Bosshardt

Glenn Allen Bosshardt, 87Glenn Allen Bosshardt, 87, of Apache Junction, went to be with the Lord on March 16, 2007. He was a former resident of Faribault and Morristown, Minn. He lived in Apache Junction for the last 21 years.Mr. Bosshardt passed away at the Apache Junction Care Center from cancer.He graduated from Morristown High School in 1938. He married Francella Drager on June 2, 1943. They made their home in Waseca, where they worked at E.F. Johnson. Later, they were part owners of two restaurants, one in Albert Lea and the other in Austin, Minn. After the restaurant business, they became house parents at the State Academy for the Deaf in Faribault, Minn. from 1950-1983.Mr. Bosshardt was a great outdoor enthusiast and spent a great deal of his spare time fishing, hunting and gardening. He loved growing flowers.Mr. and Mrs. Bosshardt enjoyed many years of camping and did extensive traveling both at home and abroad.Mr. Bosshardt was a long time member of the Peace United Methodist Church. In his earlier years, he was a member of the Evangelical United Brethren Church.He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Esther (Knauss) Bosshardt; four brothers, Allen, Clinton, Marvin and Donald; and one sister, Margaret Holland.He is survived by a brother, Kenneth, and his wife, Caroline, from Lakefield, Minn.; and many nieces and nephews.Memorials may be made to Hospice.Services were held March 21 at Sierra Del Saguaro Clubhouse in Apache Junction.Apache Junction Mortuary handled arrangements.
