Glendale’s longtime water services director will retire

Craig Johnson ‘has been a rock of stability’ in 27 years with the city

Craig Johnson, the city of Glendale’s water services director, will cap an almost 30-year career with the city when he steps into retirement in November.

City Manager Kevin Phelps made the announcement at Tuesday afternoon’s city council workshop.

“He has helped really lead our city through massive growth in our community and infrastructure enhancements in our water services. He’s been a rock of stability for all of us. We rely very heavily on him,” Phelps said in his remarks.
