A change in construction manager on site at the Crystal Lagoons Island Resort in Glendale won’t impact its goal to be up and running before the 2023 Super Bowl arrives.
That’s according to the project’s chief marketing officer, who confirmed this week that Hunt Construction Group Inc., the resort’s former construction manager, is no longer on the project as of Jan. 28.
“We’re moving forward as scheduled with the project,” CMO John Keenan said. “Just a business decision for all involved when we go in one direction as opposed to the original. Sometimes those transition points are crossed and decisions are made, and that’s what the organization has chosen to do.”
