Glendale Woman's Club publishes cookbook
Posted
The Glendale Woman’s Club is sharing its best and most delicious recipes in a new cookbook titled, “A Favorite Collection of Recipes.”
The 100-page cookbook features a wide array of everyday comfort foods collected from members, family and friends of the Glendale Woman’s Club. Categories include appetizers, beverages, soups, salads, vegetables, side dishes, main dishes, breads, desserts, cookies and candy.
The Cookbook Committee began planning the recipe collection last spring. Committee members included Jane Buckley, Grace Kobojek, Lucy Amavisca, Pat Kennedy, Sharon Brown and Eleanor Martinez.
“Our cookbook is a labor of love, and we are thrilled to share our treasured family recipes with the community,” said Ms. Buckley, chairperson of the Cookbook Committee.
The cookbook is available for $10 at two locations in Historic Downtown Glendale: Papa Ed’s Ice Cream (7146-B N. 58th Ave.) and Gracie’s Marketplace (7146 N. 58th Ave.). Proceeds from the sale of the cookbooks will assist the Glendale Woman’s Club with their ongoing community programs, activities and clubhouse building restorations. The historic clubhouse is available for rent to the public for family gatherings, weddings, baby showers, church gatherings and business meetings. The rental income assists in allowing the members to continue their community projects and complete building updates.
The Glendale Woman’s Club is is part of the General Federation of Woman’s Club and is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization which provides a variety of community-focused programs and events and always welcomes new members. Members do not need to live in the city of Glendale. For more information, call 623-937-9915, visit www.clubhouse4rent.com or email info@clubhouse4rent.com.
