Glendale will tighten codes on city massage parlors

Effort looks to curb prostitution, sex trafficking

The city of Glendale is cracking down on massage parlors that may offer more than just massages.

After hearing a presentation at its workshop this month from Deputy City Manager Rick St. John with regards to tightening up ordinances in an effort to curb sex-related activity, the council agreed to move forward with the process to add new language to the city code.

Any business owner cited or charged with fraud, prostitution, indecent exposure, pornography, any sexual act, nudity, or breach of the peace will be targeted.
