Glendale will call for $160M in bonds in this November’s election

City emphasizing need to fund transportation, public safety

The city of Glendale will be calling for a special bond election to put two issues totaling $160 million to the voters this November.

The city council this week moved the effort forward while facing a May 11 deadline to at least notify Maricopa County of its intent to participate in the Nov. 7 election.

Seeking input from residents, the city this past February polled 400 likely voters on which priorities they would support in a bond election. Transportation and Public Safety were the highest priorities cited.
