Glendale will analyze more accessible, adaptive playgrounds

Glendale is looking into bolstering adaptive equipment on its playground, as well as more Americans with Disabilities Act accessible features at its parks.

The City Council first discussed the possibilities at the Sept. 24 work session, based on a council item of special interest council member Lauren Tolmachoff suggested in August.

Tolmachoff said she and residents in her district wanted to understand the difference between accessible and adaptive playgrounds.
