The Maricopa County Election department is expected to update election results Wednesday as more ballots dropped off on Tuesday in Glendale are processed.
Early returns, released by the county at 8 p.m. May 20, showed a small but significant split among Glendale voters on two propositions tied to city council zoning and financial decisions relating to the VAI Resort.
In the first, and likely largest, batch of returns, 25,992 votes were cast. Residents are voting down Proposition 401 with 12,796 no votes (50.27%) just outpacing 12,659 yes votes (49.73%).
