The city of Glendale is throwing a party to celebrate 20 years of Desert Diamond Arena.

Glendale and ASM Global, which manages the city-owned facility, are celebrating the milestone by recapping legendary moments, revealing impact numbers, and shining a spotlight on the future. The event starts at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9 at the venue inside the Westgate Entertainment District, 9400 W. Maryland Ave.

In January of 2023, the city announced that the venue in 2022 posted its highest grossing year in its then-19-year history. The city of Glendale's 2022 profit share from the arena was $1,943,611.

Country superstar Zach Bryan in August of 2023 set an attendance record for the Glendale venue.

Looking ahead, the Arizona Rattlers will be moving their home games to Desert Diamond Arena when the franchise opens its 31st season of football in March. The team has played at the Footprint Center in downtown Phoenix since its inception in 1992.
