Glendale to kick off Super Bowl business program

Host city teams with NFL to network local businesses

With the one-year countdown to Super Bowl 57 in Arizona officially under way, Glendale — as the host city and official Super Bowl partner — will take part in one of the event’s business community efforts.

Glendale City Manager Kevin Phelps on Tuesday said with just over a year before the game’s arrival in town, the city will begin its participation in the NFL’s annual Business Connect Program. The effort — in which each host city participates — spends the year leading up to the big game identifying and supporting minority, woman, LGBTQ+ and veteran-owned businesses through professional development, networking and contract opportunities.

The program works to connect experienced, event-ready local businesses with opportunities to compete for contracts related to Super Bowl 57. Certified businesses selected for the program will be profiled in the Business Connect Resource Guide, which NFL vendors and event producers use to identify and select local suppliers to fulfill their Super Bowl subcontracting needs.
