Glendale to consider adding LGBTQ non-discrimination ordinance

Eight Arizona cities, towns have passed similar legislation

Glendale will become the next Arizona city to consider adopting an LGBTQ inclusive non-discrimination ordinance.

In April, Scottsdale became the eighth Arizona city to pass LGBTQ protections, and soon after the Glendale Chamber of Commerce  announced it  created a task force to champion the adoption of similar legislation to prohibit discrimination in employment, housing and public accommodations.

“The task force will be responsible for convening business leaders, community leaders and other stakeholders to educate and build support for a city-wide ordinance,” the Chamber stated in an April 26 news release.
