The city of Glendale is transitioning into phase 3 of its reopening plan per coronavirus precautions.

Staff is working to fully open facilities and programs on Monday, April 19, with some exceptions.

Key Dates:

  • City Hall – fully opened on April 19
  • Libraries – fully opened on April 19
  • Outdoor Parks – Fully opened unless under construction on April 19
  • Ramadas and amenities all available for rent or use on April 19
  • Foothills Recreation and Aquatics Center – Because of staffing limitations, FRAC will continue to operate under limited days and hours. The city is beginning the hiring process to bring more staff on board. As they are hired and trained, Glendale will make adjustments until FRAC is eventually able to fully open and return to normal days and hours of operations.
  • Pools – Fully open on Monday, June 7, at FRAC, 5600 W. Union Hills Drive, and Tuesday, June 8 at Rose Lane, 5003 W. Marlette Ave.
  • Adult Center – The center is currently undergoing construction renovations that will prohibit it from opening until the work is completed. Staff is working toward early June to have it reopened with normal days and hours of operation.
  • Gila River Arena – ASM will manage the use of the facility consistent with NHL COVID protocols for Coyotes games, and with ASM facility standards for non-NHL events.
  • Camelback Ranch – Will be managed by the teams under MLB protocols.

The city will continue rigorous cleaning and sanitizing of facilities, which will become standard practice in perpetuity.

The Mayor’s emergency proclamation  requires face coverings in city facilities and public transportation until Monday, April 19.
