Glendale school removes registered sex offender from campus event

Deer Valley Unified School District officials acted quickly to remove a registered sex offender who attended a PTSO-sponsored dance at Highland Lakes School in Glendale on Friday.

The district identified the individual as a parent in the community of the K-8 school.

Deer Valley Unified issued a statement on the matter at Highland Lakes, 19000 N. 63rd Ave.
